What 1-on-1 Personal Training in Winnipeg Actually Looks Like

Most people put off hiring a personal trainer for one of three reasons: they think it's only for people who are already fit, they're not sure it's worth the cost, or they've tried it before and it didn't stick. Here's what coaching at One Family Fitness is actually built around, so you can decide for yourself.
It starts with data, not guessing
Every new client's program is built around an InBody 380 body composition scan, not just your weight or a generic beginner template. Your coach sees your actual muscle mass, fat mass, and water levels, and builds your training and nutrition around that starting point. Progress gets checked the same way: with numbers, not vibes.
Coaches who actually compete
Dino Camire (owner, CSCS, CISSN) has coached for over a decade and built The Build System, our 5-pillar coaching method: training, nutrition, daily movement, body composition tracking, and community. Jen Oleson (Head Strength Coach, CanFit PTS) is a competitive powerlifter who coaches strength, hypertrophy, and body recomposition for clients of all ages. You're not getting a generic script; you're getting programming from people who train the way they coach.
Three ways to train with us
1-on-1 Personal Training. In-person at our St. Vital facility, full attention on your technique, programming, and accountability.
Semi-Private Training. Two sessions a week, small groups of up to 3, at a lower cost than 1-on-1.
Online Coaching. Full remote programming, macro targets, and check-ins, with InBody-informed adjustments if you can get scanned periodically. Coached from Winnipeg, trainable anywhere.
What changes in the first few weeks
Most new clients aren't chasing a number on the scale by week two. They're chasing consistency. A good coach's first job is making the gym a place you actually want to show up to. That's the "family" part of One Family Fitness that our members mention most often in reviews: you're known by name, your coach remembers your goals, and nobody's guessing at your program.
Is it worth it?
If you've tried generic programs or apps and stalled out, the difference with real coaching is accountability plus adjustment: someone looking at your actual data and changing the plan when it's not working, instead of you guessing alone for six months.
